CHA: tea and the art of healing
I am real, and the tea is real. I am in the present. |

I offer two types of individual psychotherapy sessions:
Both types of sessions are extremely beneficial! It just depends on you, your time, your budget, and your unique situation.
CHA "tea", a Creative Healing Art
We don't make art in our sessions. That is to say, we don't paint, or draw, or sculpt. It is the process of sitting together that is creative, that is the art. It is creatively and deeply exploring your life. At our first session, we will start with a narrative-initiated approach to understanding your path toward manifesting health and wholeness. Essentially, that means I want you to tell me your story. There's no telling what will come up next, but possibilities include intuitive discussion, meditation, breathing, movement, energy healing, "comparing notes," planning and "prescribing" activities for practice at home.
CHA Practice, with tea
If you would like a CHA session "with tea," then together we will enjoy a Chinese Gongfu" tea service that I have adapted especially to aid us in our work together. Gongfu cha (工夫茶) literally means "making tea with care." I have found that the Gongfu service is especially useful to help begin focusing and releasing blocked emotional channels that may otherwise be hard to access. It has proven to be a graceful aid for easing entry into emotionally and spiritually challenging terrain.
Please note: The Chinese tea is moderately caffeinated, unsweetened, and hot. These "with tea" sessions are only available in the mornings.
- Standard session (without tea)
- Extended CHA session that may include a candlelit "gongfu" tea service
Both types of sessions are extremely beneficial! It just depends on you, your time, your budget, and your unique situation.
