EMDR
for trauma and other ongoing, recurring issues with individuals AND couples!

An upsetting experience in life can be troubling long after it’s over and we “should” be over it. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an innovative, multi-stage therapy for working through all types of traumatic or upsetting experiences and their aftermath. EMDR accesses your brain's own ability to heal, and it can be very effective and often offers positive results in a fraction of the time of traditional psychotherapy. I offer this treatment using state-of-the-art visual, audio, and tactile equipment.
EMDR can be a profoundly successful therapy for working with both individuals and couples. While it is thoroughly tested and very effective for people with PTSD, it can also be very helpful for anyone dealing with past and present upsetting experiences that continually disrupt daily life, relationships, work, recreation, and overall well-being.
Here is a sample of some of the things EMDR can successfully treat for both individuals and couples:
• Ongoing, recurring emotional disturbances due to a wide variety of upsetting/traumatic experiences.
• Upsetting, pervasive emotions related to the end of a relationship, death of a loved one, or illness.
• Couples with intractable, hard-to-resolve problems
• Panic attacks, general anxiety, and performance anxiety
• Coping, low self-esteem, stress management
• Sexual, emotional, and/or physical abuse recovery
• Unresolved anger and excessive rumination
• Family-of-origin dynamics that are still problematic
• Unrequited love
• Unrelenting grief
• PTSD
The sooner upsetting experiences are addressed, the better, so please feel free to call me to discuss your
situation and see if EMDR is a good fit for you.
